We are not hosting the Texas Adventure Ride (TAR) in 2020. In past years TAR has been our Spring ride but for 2020 we are suggesting you attend the Hill Country Spring Rally (the rally was formerly known as Strom-A-Thon). The Hill Country Spring rally is open to all riders and will feature a mix of paved and dirt routes – something for everyone. Here’s an excerpt from the thread on Two Wheeled Texans:
“That’s right: STROM-A-THON is now HILL COUNTRY SPRING RALLY
This is a SaveTheDate and GetTheJuicesFlowing notification.
WHEN: first weekend in April. (April 3-5, 2020)
WHERE: Medina. The venue can accommodate everyone; whether arriving in a Class A or carrying nothing more than a bed roll.
HOW MUCH: $45.00pp includes, gps and paper routes, Saturday breakfast and Saturday dinner, t-shirt, sticker and more.
WHO: street legal bikes, riders of all abilities and interests.
Strom-A-Thon has been an awesome way to get together and ride some of the best areas of the state. SAT has also been low-key and casual. We want to keep the spirit of SAT while upping our game a little.”

A message from Robert Lee:
So last week I promised an ALL pavement ride and as painful as it was for me, I held up my end of the bargain. But now all bets are off……so on Monday December 9th I will be doing a 200-mile exploratory ride that will have a minimal amount of pavement. If you have ever done one of these types of rides with me, you know that there will be many a turnaround and go back due to deadends, so go out in your front yard and start practicing your turnarounds with your GS. If you are planning to go on this ride, drop me a line so I can get an idea of how many to plan for.
Here are the details.I will be departing at 8:30am SHARP from the location below and returning at an unknown time. Meet me at the south end of the parking lot, next to highway 67.
